Describe the important events that have led up to chapter 7. Give a detailed summary of chapter 7 and make a prediction of what will happen.

2.Detailed Summary of Chapter 7 -In this chapter, Ian grows really close to Mitch. They work together reinforcing the chicken coop and goat cage. Meagan slowly gets better, until they can take the bandage off of her. Mitch and Sadie take care of them, and feed them lots of good food. Once Meagan is fully better, she realizes that Mitch and Sadie only have enough food for themselves over the winter, and she knows that they have to leave eventually.
Firstly, Megan and Ian's mother and her newborn baby die. Next, they run out of water because of a drought and have to leave their home. Thirdly, they go to Lundbreck falls to stay with their Uncle. Then, they meet three native boys and stay in their house as the boys still have running water. Unfortunately, Ian's dog Charlie, who is his best friend, is killed by the native boys. They serve Charlie to Ian for supper. Fourthly, they come across some land where there is water. They help themselves to the water. The owner of the land is furious with them and unleashes his dog on them who bites Ian. They find another piece of land that has water. Megan is caught stealing water and is shot by the owner. Lastly, Megan and Ian get taken in by a lovely couple, Mitch and Sadie. They treat Megan's wound and care for Ian. It rains.
Summary of Chapter 7
In this chapter, Megan is recovering from being shot and Ian is having a great time with Mitch. Ian tells Megan that Mitch makes him feel important and that he loves him like a father. Ian does not want to leave, but Megan is determined to go to Lundbreck Falls and does not want to be a nuisance to Mitch and Sadie.
Two Predictions
I think Megan and Ian will stay with Mitch and Sadie. They will help them re-grow the barley and they will have a good life together. I think Megan will leave for Lundbreck Falls and Ian will stay with Mitch and Sadie. Eventually, Megan will get to Lundbreck Falls to find her Uncle is just like the survivalists. She will then go back to live with Mitch, Sadie, and Ian.

My predictions. I think Ian will refuse to go for quite awile but eventually leave. Or I think Ian will stay but Meagan will go to lundbreck falls to find her uncle and see that they're having a drought too so goes back to Ian (and Mitch and Sadie) and stay there...Maybe untill the drought is over.
